Abstract
The thermal energy storage (TES) system is an important component of the gas
district cooling GDC plant. It is specifically incorporated to the GDC plant to improve
the operations and efficiency of the plant. This strategy is fitting as GDC plant is a
cogeneration plant. Besides improving the cogeneration plant operations, TES also
assist in shifting the energy and improving energy supply reliability as reported by
Dincer et al.1 and Karim.2 Specifically for the GDC plant the TES is for cooling
purpose.
