Abstract

Risk Assessment Tool (RAT) is an expert system that assesses, monitors, and gives preliminary treatment options systematically based on the project plan. Software risk assessment is the process of identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing risks. Software projects that each of them can have an effect on a risk need to have an assessment of the entirely possible risks that may cause failure or loss if they occur. Therefore, in this paper, a review was taken out for the existing project time management risk assessment tools for small and medium software development projects. Moreover, analyze of the risk assessment param-eters, conditions, and scenarios were carried on. Finally, we propose risk assessment tool (RAT) model which allows assessing, treating, and monitoring software project risks systematically.
