Abstract
The control of a pH neutralisation plant is known to present challenges due to the highly nonlinear dynamic characteristics of the process. This paper describes the design, implementation and testing of a fuzzy control system on a pilot plant equipped with industry-standard instrumentation and control valves. The tests carried out show a performance that is satisfactory in terms both of steady state and transient characteristics. ©2007 IEEE.
