Abstract
The objective of this paper is to present the design and evaluation of an online role-playing game in learning numbers. In this study, MathQuest, prototype of a role playing game for students to learn numbers has been developed. Twelve students aged between 10 – 11 years old are involved in the evaluation of the game. The students are given the demo and hands-on access to the prototype. A set of questionnaire is given upon completion of playing the demo. In addition, an interview session is conducted on 3 students to obtain their feedback for the game. Results from the questionnaire and interview have shown that the students find the game exciting, full of fun and will enjoy a mathematics class conducted using MathQuest
