The structural pattern within the Malay Basin is divided into fold and fault systems. Malay Basin is a complex rift composed of numerous extensional graben formed during the late Eocene-early Oligocene and the underwent thermal subsidence and sedimentation during the early Miocene. 3D seismic data and well data are used to map fault surface and stratigraphic reference horizons in the research field. The 3D surfaces and stratigraphy can thus be used to better understand and evaluate fold, fault interaction and structural trap. The quality of the data was improved by applying the seismic attribute (volume attribute) to intensify the geologic features. This paper is focusing on identified fold and faults by applying several seismic attributes on the specified parameter. The objective of this paper is to answer the question regarding how the fault is growing and its propagation. Thus, it is will help with the exploration to produce accurate structural maps in discovery oil and gas. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.
